Carrot / Kāroti

New Zealand Carrots new season out of Pukekohe has now commenced. So, we have finished up in Ohakune now until next winter.  Can be a bit confusing but basically, we source carrots out of Pukekohe over late spring early summer until Ohakune commences late Autumn early Winter. This enables us to supply quality NZ carrots the year round!

Availability

Carrots are available all year round. They're at their best in the winter months.

Storage and Handling

History

Carrots date back as far as the 10th Century and have been a staple in many countries for thousands of years although it is only since the 16th Century that they have been orange.
